HLAM Gallery

The first of its kind in Voronezh, the HLAM contemporary art gallery was established in 2007 by Alexey Gorbunov. The gallery is focused on further development of contemporary art in Russia and discovery of new names.

By September 2018 the gallery had held 111 exhibitions. Some of them were nominated and the artists became winners of major Russian contemporary art awards including the Kandinsky Prize (2011, 2013) and the Innovation award (2010, 2012).

The artists who have begun their career in H.L.A.M. gallery or whose exhibitions usually took place  (I. Gorshkov, A. Kurbatova A. Zhilyaev, I. Dolgov, N. Alekseev, E. Astapchenko, K. Garshin, K. Savelyev), are demanded in Russia and abroad. The gallery continues to support the newest young representatives of contemporary art. The activity of the gallery caused an impulse of carrying out in Voronezh of an annual Platonov Arts Festival since 2011. Voronezh Center of Contemporary Art (VCCA) was established in H.L.A.M. gallery in February 2009. It also successfully conducts its activities in education and creation of the art community in the city. The gallery has developed several projects for the city program of public art, three of which have been held in Voronezh during 2011-2015.

Since 2012 HLAM has been annually participating in numerous international contemporary art exhibitions and has received a diploma for innovation of art forms at one of them.
