Palaty is the first gallery of objects of functional art and local design, representing Russia on the international market. It was founded in St. Petersburg in 2020 by Yulia Loboyko.
Palaty presents the works of Russian-speaking authors collected during expeditions across the regions of Russia. Our journey map includes Dagestan, Vologda, Kazan, Nalchik, Pskov, and Kuban. The most unique craftsmanship and delicate handiwork that was kept in the dark for such a long time is now becoming a statement in collectible interior design.
In ‘24-25 the gallery participated in international exhibitions: Collectible, New York; PAD, Paris; Collectible, Brussels; ARTO21, Shanghai; BAD+ exhibition, Bordeaux.
Our mission at Palaty is to discover and apply local DNA in objects relevant to world design. We do not isolate Russian decor into a separate category but introduce it as a unique feature of what is in demand in a global sense.
