Syntax Gallery was founded by the art dealer, curator, and founder of Artika Project, Elvira Tarnogradskaya, in 2019. Syntax Gallery provides a platform to facilitate the interaction between different generations of artists and creative strategies and supports Russian contemporary art on the global market.

One of the principal domains of the gallery's curatorial research is the study of text in visual culture as an integral element of artistic mediums that manifests itself in the works of artists from different generations represented by the gallery. Artists are constantly on the lookout for new mediums that can help them to convey their ideas and interpret all the processes taking place in the world, where text has long been a part of the culture code.
