BOOROOM GALLERY was founded by Irina Budtseva-Vinitskaya and Maksim Vinitskiy in 2014. Contemporary art and collectible design coexist at the core of the gallery’s DNA as two equally important fields that shape its development both locally and internationally. BOOROOM brings together historical pieces and works by contemporary artists and designers whose works are held in significant private collections worldwide.
BOOROOM positions itself as an active participant in the cultural process, approaching art as a living channel of communication in which the work itself and the encounter between the artist and the audience are equally significant. In this sense, the gallery functions as a mediator, gathering meanings and re-situating them within new contexts. People have always been at the heart of BOOROOM’s philosophy: artists with diverse trajectories, sensibilities, and cultural backgrounds, united by their ability to register the impulses of their time and translate them into form. The mission, articulated by founder Irina Budtseva-Vinitskaya, is to create conditions in which new ideas and values emerge through the intersection of different voices — those that resonate in the present and retain relevance over time.
