Syntax Gallery

Elvira Tarnogradskaya, an art dealer, curator, and founder of Artika Project, established Syntax Gallery in 2019. Syntax Gallery provides a platform to facilitate the interaction between different generations of artists and creative strategies and supports Russian contemporary art on the global market.

One of the main areas of the gallery’s research is looking at how text is used in visual culture, which is an important part of art that shows up in the works of artists from different generations represented by the gallery. Artists are constantly on the lookout for new mediums that can help them to convey their ideas and interpret all the processes taking place in the world, where text has long been a part of the culture code.
