HLAM Gallery

The first of its kind in Voronezh, the HLAM contemporary art gallery was established in 2007 by Alexey Gorbunov. It aims to facilitate the development of contemporary art in Russia and discover new emerging artists. By 2026, the gallery had held 155 exhibitions. Some of them were nominated, and the artists became winners of major Russian contemporary art awards, including the Kandinsky Prize (2011, 2013) and the Innovation Award (2010, 2012, 2020).

Artists who began their careers at HLAM or whose works have been regularly exhibited in the gallery (I. Gorshkov, I. Dolgov, N. Alexeev, K. Garshin, K. Savelyev, O. Dautov, M. Dobrovolsky) are widely sought after in Russia as well as internationally. The gallery continues to support young contemporary artists. HLAM’s activity inspired the annual international Platonov Festival (running since 2011). In 2009, the Voronezh Center for Contemporary Art was established in HLAM, which has been successfully functioning for 10 years in the field of education and the creation of an art community in the city. Since 2012, the gallery has annually participated in international fairs of contemporary art, at one of which it received a diploma for the innovation of art forms, and in 2018 the stand of the gallery was recognized as the Best Stand of Cosmoscow.
