The Studio Tikhaya is a contemporary art center born from an eponymous art workshop that emerged from a self-organized art studio of the same name. It was formed in 2015 as a workspace for young practitioners. Over time, it has evolved into a fully fledged institution and a center of gravity for both contemporary art professionals and sophisticated audiences. In 2022, it acquired institutional form, a legal entity, an administrative team, and a building that combines back-of-house and public-facing functions. The studio's programmatic activities encompass artist studios and exhibitions, research and archival work, an artist residency, and visible storage.

Studio Tikhaya operates two buildings: a wing of a historic estate, occupied by artist studios since 2015, and a former residential house, renovated in 2022 using passive house technologies to accommodate workspaces and visitor areas.
