XL Gallery

XL Gallery opened in 1993. Its founders are Elena Selina (curator) and Sergey Khripun (director). Since opening, the gallery has made more than 300 exhibitions. XL Gallery works primarily with Russian artists from the classics of Moscow contemporary art (Viktor Pivovarov, Andrey Monastyrsky, Igor Makarevich, Boris Orlov, Konstantin Zvezdochetov, Aidan Salakhova, and Vladislav Mamyshev-Monroe) to mid-generation stars (Irina Korina, the Blue Soup group, Alexey Buldakov, ZIP group, Roman Sakin, Igor Samolet, and Sergei Sapozhnikov) and young artists (Anna Komarova, Diana Kapizova). The gallery focuses on installation, video, sculpture, and multimedia projects as well as painting, photography, and graphic works.
