The Pechersky Gallery was founded by art curator and collector Marina Pecherskaya in January 2011. During its first year, the gallery was preoccupied with Eastern European art. The Pechersky Gallery has held exhibitions of works by Anatoliy Gankevitch, Arsen Savadov and a group of Romanian artists.
In 2012 the gallery has explored the Russian New Wave movement, holding numerous exhibitions and discussions. Later it focused on public art projects. The most notable event of 2013 was the GOSZAKAZ exhibition (curators Roman Sakin and Marina Pecherskaya), devoted to relations between the artist and authorities. As a result, numerous works have been installed in Moscow public places.
Since 2011 the gallery has been taking part in international art fairs. In 2014 it participated in Art Dubai with works by Aslan Gaisumov and in Art Paris with works by Valery Koshlyakov and Arsen Savadov.
