Anya Zholud’s Schematic Space of Elementary Happiness installation is part of the Institution of Culture project. According to the artist, while working on the project, she aimed at dealing “with both the surface of the form and discovering its essence.” The installation elaborates on the topic of interaction between a human and an object, as well as on the topic of “objects repressing human” and the belonging of human body to nature and inanimate nature. Besides the object as such, Zholud also concerns with the organization of space and the changing environment around it. “Schematic Space of Elementary Happiness includes such objects as a table, a chair, a bed, a closet, picture on the wall and a book before going to bed. Almost the same set of items that belong not to a single person, but to a couple.”
