The Lumiere Brothers Gallery was founded in 2001 by Natalia Grigorieva-Litvinskaya. It is one of the oldest galleries in Moscow, which specializes in photography. The gallery represents works by celebrated Soviet constructivists and reporters from the 1930s. The gallery has reintroduced and promotes the artworks of photographers from the Khrushchev Thaw and was one of the first galleries, who started to collaborate with artists from the Lithuanian school of photography.
Within more than 15 years of participation in the international art market, the gallery has created a strong business relationship with many foreigner photographers, art foundations, and galleries. Thanks to these connections the Lumiere Brothers Gallery has the exclusive right to represent the best examples of outstanding masters of European and American photography in Russia.
Artworks from the Lumiere Brothers Gallery collection are successfully displayed as part of exhibition projects in the United States, Russia, and Europe. Cooperating with the largest iconic galleries specializing in the field of photography, we have created several unique private collections that have reached international importance. Since 2005, the gallery has been advising and supervising private and corporate collections of Russian, European, and American photography from the 20thand 21stcenturies.
