Marina Gisich Gallery

Marina Gisich Gallery was founded in 2000 and is one of the oldest galleries in the city. Director and founder – Gisich Marina. To date, it is one of the leading Russian galleries. Since the opening of the gallery, there have been both recognized classics (Gleb Bogomolov, Eugene Yufit) and iconic artists of the last decades (Kerim Ragimov, Vladimir Kustov, Petr Bely, Vitaly Pushnitsky, Kirill Chelushkin, Ivan Govorkov and Elena Gubanova, Gregory Mayofis, Marina Alekseeva). No less important part of the gallery is the promotion of the younger generation of artists (Lera Nibiru, Tanya Akhmetgalieva, Tim Parshchikov, Alexander Shishkin-Hokusai).

Marina Gisich Gallery also often implements joint projects with the largest museums, foundations and other exhibition spaces of contemporary art in Russia and Europe (State Russian Museum, Moscow Museum of Modern Art, Multimedia Art Museum, New Museum, Moscow Museum, Waino Aaltonen Museum). Among the most large-scale – a group exhibition of the Petersburg art of “Crystallization” in Turku (Waino Aaltonen Museum, Finland). The gallery actively promotes contemporary art from St. Petersburg on both Russian and international stages, often participates in international fairs (ARCO Madrid, Spain, Volta NY, USA, Art Miami, USA, Art Paris, France, Vienna Fair, Austria; Istanbul Contemporary, Turkey; Cosmoscow, Russia).

The work of the gallery includes the development of space and the concept of new galleries and the supervision of their activities.
