Arka Gallery

The Arka Gallery of Contemporary Art, created in 1995 on a private initiative, is located in the historical center of Vladivostok. The main activity of the Arka Gallery is the popularization of artists' creativity and educational work in the field of contemporary art. The gallery's curatorial approach to the development of contemporary Russian art demonstrates the depth of sophistication of the artistic works of regional artists. Developing the concept of cultural space in practice, the gallery presents exhibitions and projects of famous and young artists of the Far Eastern region, Russian and foreign authors both on its site and at international exhibitions and fairs; promotes the participation of authors in partner projects. The gallery cooperates with institutions in Russia and abroad and has participated in international Biennales and contemporary art fairs. Much attention is paid by the curators and the gallery supports artists who study and use current style trends in various artistic practices, as well as explore issues of geography, history and culture of the Far Eastern region.
