pop/off/art gallery was founded in 2004 in Moscow by art historian Sergey Popov. Olga Popova has been a partner of the gallery since 2011. pop/off/art represents Russian and European artists. It takes part in the largest contemporary art fairs in Russia and Europe. The gallery has organized several dozen museum projects in Russia. Since 2011, the gallery has been located on the territory of the Winzavod Contemporary Art Center. In 2012–2014, pop/off/art branch was situated in Berlin. In 2023, the second exhibition space of the gallery, pop/off/art 2.0, opened in Moscow in Bolshoi Palashevsky Lane, 9.
pop/off/art gallery represents artists of several generations, from acknowledged contemporary art masters (Eric Bulatov, Andrey Grositsky, Yuri Zlotnikov, Evgeny Mikhnov-Voitenko) to the leaders of today’s art scene (Irina Nakhova, Vitaly Pushnitsky, Olga and Oleg Tatarintsev) and to the rising stars (Ivan Novikov, Ivan Plusch, Vladimir Potapov). Works by all the gallery’s artists are held in various museum collections all over the world. Most of the artists have been awarded national and international prizes; many have participated in key recurrent exhibitions (Documenta, Venice Biennale, etc.).
