WHO I AM Gallery is a multidisciplinary art project that unites art, fashion, and design. Since 2013, founder and ideologist of WHO I AM, Jacob Yakubov, has been exploring the nature of man through modern art practices. The mission of the project is to promote a conscious attitude toward life and oneself. The gallery was founded in 2017. In addition to selling contemporary art, organizing exhibitions, and conducting educational activities, WHO I AM Gallery also engages in interior design and art consulting. Located in Moscow, the gallery’s pool of signed artists goes beyond national borders, embodying the idea of transcendence and diversity.
With the use of various artistic languages, the artists combine research and mastery to reveal a new potential of material and perception. Coming from different backgrounds, each artist attempts to unfold the core essence of his or her artistic statement, touching upon issues of human communication, mindfulness, and consumption. One is encouraged to go through a powerful visual and perceptive experience, allowing art to guide and speak for itself.
Heterogeneity of artworks evokes a thought-provoking response, enabling one to push the boundaries that little bit further on the way to a more holistic view of the world, oneself, and the things around us.
