First media art collection of the Pushkin XXI Museum will be assembled in Russia

The Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts supported by the Mail.Ru Group launches a unique media art collection. It will feature works by modern classics as well as young artists who work with new media and performance.

Among the first acquisitions are: video installations by Jonas Mekas (USA) and Gary Hil (USA); video-paintings by Marianne Heske (Norway); trilogy by the Russian art group Provmyza.

The Pushkin XXI Museum collection will be presented during the 2018 edition of Cosmoscow International Contemporary Art Fair that will take place at the Gostiny Dvor on September 6-9, 2018. As Cosmoscow 2018 Museum of the Year, the Pushkin State Museum of Fine Arts will be donated a piece of contemporary Russian art with support from the Cosmoscow Foundation for Contemporary Art.
