RUSSIAN INTERNATIONAL ROUND TABLE AND ART PERFORMANCE BY IVAN GORSHKOV IN VENICE

On May 9, Russian International, a Round Table and a Cocktail Reception dedicated to the contemporary Russian art in a global context will take place at Ca’ Dolphin, on the premises of Ca’ Foscari University of Venice.

Moderated by Richard Wallis, Editor-in-chief of the Russian Art Focus, the discussion will feature such speakers as: Margarita Pushkina (Cosmoscow), Alisa Prudnikova (NNCA/ROSIZO), Vasili Tsereteli (MOMA), Simon Rees (Cosmoscow), Xiaoyu Weng (The Robert H. N. Ho Family Foundation / Guggenheim Museum), Stanislav Kasparov (SIBUR).

The program will feature a performance by the renowned Russian artist Ivan Gorshkov, Cosmoscow 2017 Artist of the Year. His work titled “Cocktail Reception Gone Wild” is an artistic rethinking of a cocktail reception as a social form that will be transformed into kinetic sculpture.
