Cosmoscow Kids 2018: "Modern City. Kids in the Сity"

Cosmoscow Kids programme is developed and conducted by the Moscow schools of arts.

Today, the city life leaves no chance to stop and reflect on where, how and what for do we live, because the life of a metropolis is a perpetual motion machine. Cosmoscow Kids area offers an opportunity to stop for a while and meditate on the surrounding space and our lives in it. The programme allows its participants to create an "ideal city" and fill it with the objects and emotions that we lack in our everyday life. Equipped with ideas and advice received during the master classes, young citizens will get acquainted with their "neighbors", create and fill an ideal modern city, discuss how it is affected by people, modern technologies, and innovations, and what we lack striving for harmony and happiness. Over the three days, an ideal city with its history and emotions will grow up in plain view of the fair's guests; and the "honorable citizens" who have taken an active part in the development of the urban environment will receive invitations to the concerts of the Moscow schools of arts' "Autumn Seasons".

Friday, September 7 - “Space – Earth”

On the first day of the fair participants will build a city: a large-scale architectural and artistic Moscow Kids District project.

Schedule:

12 PM to 7 PM – building the city using dimensional cubes.

12 PM to 7 PM – developing the city design and fashion image of today’s young citizen.

1 PM to 3 PM – master class.

3 PM to 5 PM – master class.

5 PM to 7 PM – master class.

Saturday, September 8 - “Space – air”

The second day of the programme will be focused the creation of airspace over the city using unusual techniques and textures.

Schedule:

12 PM to 7 PM – building the city using dimensional cubes.

12 PM to 7 PM – creating space objects, atmospheric effects and aircrafts.

1 PM to 3 PM – master class.

3 PM to 5 PM – master class.

5 PM to 7 PM – master class.

Sunday, September 9 - “Space – media”

The third day will be focused on filling of the city with various art objects and creation of urban media.

Schedule:

12 PM to 7 PM – building the city using dimensional cubes.

12 PM to 3 PM – creation of urban media and art objects.

12 PM to 2 PM – “City Animation” master class.

3 PM to 4 PM – city presentation.

4 PM to 6 PM – master class.

“City’s Emotions”

City means emotions. As part of the Moscow Kids District project, the participants decide what feelings they want to fill the urban environment with. Using emoji stickers – favorite symbols of modern times – they will tell their story and express their sense of the city.  

“Your Feelings Lab”

The modern metropolis is filled with sensations and emotions. The participants of the lab express their feelings in small art objects using a variety of unusual materials. The results of this creative process will be on display during all three days of the fair in the special “Feelings of Your City” exhibition area. Various painting styles and works of great artists will serve as a source of inspiration.
